Probably not, but you'll need to fix exhaust anyway. Pressurization of case happens on opposite stroke.

Zero exhaust flow has stumped me twice, once on a car once on a bike... it's become one of the regular things I check on motors if I can't get them to fire.

While we're on the topic, if I have a bad crankcase seal, does the air fuel mixture that should be drawn into the cylinder get kicked out through the worn out seal?
