Wasn't much time left so I pulled the trigger.

Now then, I guess I need an engine.

It will work. A DJ-1 mount will work as well.

Yes and No....depending on what "engine" you are referring to as to what size motor mount bolt it uses. Also, the tongue wont fit the Spree without modification. Needs to be cut down and re-welded. Hmmm, you may have jumped the gun on buying this.

Once modified to fit the spree frame, that mount (engine hanger) will work for the af05 motor. If you plan to use it for af16 motor, you will have to use a drill press to enlarge to hole for the larger diameter mounting bolt. Or, you could swap in a set of af05 bushings into the af16 cases and use an af05 bolt. The af05 bolt is smaller diameter than the af16 bolt just to be perfectly clear. If you drill the mount using a regular drill, it will most likely ruin the mount as it can drill it crooked. Ask me how I know? :eyeroll:

This method gets my vote if you plan to use an AF16 motor. Looks like partzilla has them available for $7/ea.. #2 on the chart. http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/H ... parts.html

But no matter WHAT motor you choose, that tongue needs cut down. Way too tall to fit into a Spree frame hole. I just cut one down and re-welded one last week. You wouldnt need to do this if you had bought a mount from an SE50 or DJ1. They have proper tongue height for Spree frame. Pic is of a DJ-1 mount.

Shouldve bought a motor first...it may come with a mount already!
