Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

I must have gotten a scoot that was too far gone.
I am done screwing with this peice of junk!
Either I'm going to swap out the engine or chuck it in the river.
So if you have an engine to sell, contact me. And if you live in Memphis or New Orleans and see a spree floating down the Mississippi you are welcome to it.

What engine are you looking for?

Something variated that will fit in a spree. An elite or something.
I am not in any hurry. I have my chineese scoot to keep me occupied until I get the disposable cash for an engine.

My buddy is a welder so he can help me with the mount if needed.

Can I stick a 125cc up in there or were they only 4 strokes?

Options are endless as to motors that can go in. Question is, how much fab work are you wanting to do? 50cc Elite motors are the easiest to fit with minor work to the mount, relocate the shock mount and using an Elite brake cable. Others require more creativity to fit. Like what Tyler VR did here for a 125cc viewtopic.php?f=16&t=33833 . I suggest going with something air-cooled unless you want to mount a radiator somewhere and run coolant lines all over the place.

I'll likely go with a 50. I never see elite 50's around here on cl. I see lots of 80's for a lot more than they are worth.
