Where are everyone finding elite 50 and dio engines?

I've been looking to do an engine swap on my spree and I don't see any elite 50's coming up on CL. Tons of ch80s but no 50's. Besides ebay with its expensive shipping I haven't seen any dio engines either. Where are they hiding?
Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

It's a cat and mouse waiting game, I got lucky and by chance asked a guy if he had one that had just talked to a guy looking to sell one. Had an af16 at my door within 4 days, others have looked for months if not longer.

We here in mid-america never got the concentration of AF16's that went to other parts of the country, so slim pickens in our region. Likewise, tuners and builders have been buying them up for years. Even the west coast has depleted their reserves. imho...

I've recently seen a few aeros but they are priced a little high and parts are scarce (or so I'm told)

Is anybody running down Sym cases? They had a engine version that used same parts...

I have a variated AF05E bottom end with a brand new DJ-1 motor mount if you are interested. I was gonna do a swap on my red Spree, but decided to keep it all original instead. It is the engine from this topic:

It's been sitting in my basement for months and I haven't done a thing with it.
Mount would need fabricated. Asking $200+ shipping.

I suppose if I sold my spree kick start mechanism and starter I can use that to finance the engine you're selling.

I have extra af16's for sale complete no wheel or pipe. $250 plus shipping. They have been removed from elites with unknown mileage. They are suitable for rebuild. They may even run the way they are.

I know this is old topic but Ebay has them. they are from Japan shipping cost more then the engine. wish I would have read the op tell the end and I would have seen the ebay part
