I had to find a way to fix this problem that almost every elite sa50 I've worked on has with the rear body panels. The dreaded front mounting tab. Here's one solution I came up with and it works!

Most of the panels I've seen have a small slot right in front where you can hook the folded-over corner of the metal tab into, and that holds it in place. I used a bolt which has no shoulder on it to hold it down tight.

The little folded over angle on the metal tab plus the angle of the plastic at the point of attachment make it nearly impossible to pop loose. I've tried to get it to come apart once it was installed on the scooter and I couldn't. But yes, if you glue it together, then you have added insurance! Thanks Ped! :thumbwink:
