Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Folks:

Thinking about having some carbon fiber reeds made up for Honda Spree (and eventually other models.) Here's the current design, which (I think) covers the SB50 and 86/87 reed blocks.

Who's interested?

I would definitely buy a pair, my reeds are looking a bit tired.

How frequently do you need to replace the reeds? My '01 Elite has about 5k on it...is it something I should be looking into?

If there's any gap between the block and the reed on removal, they need replaced. Aside from that it's a common performance upgrade.

The Spree reeds are about completed; will have listed in a week or so.

On a related note: I'm interested in a set of SA50 reeds, either for purchase or borrow, to create a set of CF reeds for that engine as well. Contact me if you have a set.

I'm including the gaskets; it bugs me that these carbon fiber reed sets don't come with them standard, since you need to replace them at the same time.
