The manual is not providing the information that is required. The reasembling of the kick starter states to line up the mark on the kick starter spindle and the punch mark on the idle gear. My idle gear has no punch mark but there is an arrow marked on the starter idle gear. This arrow can be seen in the photo I found online. It is pointing toward the bushing. Could someone please tell me what this arrow is supposed to be pointing at in order for the kick starter to function properly?

Obviously this is a different scoot but hope this helps. It doesnt have an arrow but this spot is where it needs to be. Hope this helps.

It could even be rotated 1-2 teeth clockwise for better bite on the crank gear or if the first few teeth are chipped/broken. Those first few are always the first to get chewed off by idiots jamming down on the kick lever without letting the gears mesh correctly first.
