I can't find anything about break-in in the owners manual, but the first oil changes comes at 600 miles. I have about 250 miles on mine so far, so I haven't been very fast with it.. 45-50 I guess. Here is a youtube video that has a speed test at the start, and another at the end. One thing to note is that the GPS speed seems to be about the same as the indicated speed? He tops out at about 62-64. The same man has more than a dozen Super Cub videos with several other speed tests:

I also bought and installed this cute oil temperature gauge from Thailand that takes the place of the oil filler cap on top of the crankcase. This is the oil temperature when I come in from a ride:
Thailand seems to be the action center of the Honda world right now, so I'll probably go there this coming winter instead of China and Taiwan to see what's what and see if I can get a visit to the Super Cub factory outside of Bangkok. I want to ride a scooter in the congestion of Bangkok while there, just to complete one bucket list item. I just got home from the AAA in Ocala with my international driving permit with motorcycle endorsement. I've been there twice before, but didn't go scootering.. I need to fix that mistake while I still can.
