NN50 Question regarding motor

Post by Rucktardz »

Just wondering if anyone know if a tg50 motor will mount right up on a nn50 frame?

Thanks

I have BOTH NN50M and TG50M.
I see major difference regarding the WIDTH of the engine at the brake drums.
I've NOT examined any more closely, but with the use of different wheels and tires,
there is likely something changed regarding these items.
YES, I agree it will prob bolt up okay...not sure about interchange of wheels.

I have all 3 years. I got an extra set of gyro S hubs from motormike to run my 235/30-10 wheels. there are pics on here with my fatty tires on both my 84 and 85. I have also posted pics of my 86 gyro S with the nn50 8" wheels on it. im running tg50 wheels an hubs on my NN50 right now. the only 2 things I know that will make swapping NN50 and TG50 engines difficult is the brake cables are different but can be modified to work. and the starter and its corresponding gear inside the case. 84 is different # of teeth than the 85-86 tg starter and gear. oil pumps are all interchangeable though.
