Dash pushpin screws

Post by Rideslikenacho »

Anyone know a good replacement for the two pushpin screws that hold the two pieces of the dashboard plastics together?

Above are sold at most corner autoparts stores. Best to take a trip in with measurements and a measuring device of your choice, then see what fits.

Yeah I bought some the other day from Autozone that are made for Toyotas, they ‘looked’ like the closest match. However they push back out of the hole when tightening. Need two to hold the dash on, and two for the rear plastics. I’ll have to see whats causing them to back out.

... Just to be clear, the style above is not typically "tightened", or otherwise screwed in. You press the outer in place, then shove the head down with your thumb.
You can unscrew them to remove them, but the heads rachet down into place on install.
Issues are too big (outer doesn't fit), too small (won't grip) or too long. Latter shouldn't be an issue here.
