In need of 1988 nb50 starter spindle and electric starter

Post by Fatmanonabike »

Have what was sold to me as a 1988 elite but I belive is an imported PAL. Kickstart spindle is all torn up and starter is toast. I have no problem starting with a drill. Need to buy a new spindle with all the teeth intact. Any suggestions are appreciated. Also I purchased a starter that was identical and bolts up turn. But I belive its the wrong direction as the bendix does not jump out..the bendex appears to be in good working order.

Hi,
If the belt cover looks like below, it should nail it as a Pal. In that case you will not want an NB50 starter spindle or starter.

Check partsfiche and compare P/N's with the SB50, those parts may be compatible.
