Variator travel

I’m wondering how can i get a lil more travel out of my variator. Polini corsa ported block ported. I’m running a TWH 92mm variator kit three 5g rollers three 5.5g rollers total weight of 31.5g . Scorpion pipe. black 1500 Contra. Polini 3 shoe clutch polini evo bell yellow clutch springs zx trans bando belt 658x18.2x30.

Bike is revving at 11810 and stays in the high rpm’s.

Max speed as of right now is 73.2

Greetings:

Your Sharpie marks appear to show you're getting almost all you can as it is. I know, I know you're still a couple of mm from the ragged edge.

Try this: Remove the variator and belt. Put the belt in the variator on the workbench and close the sheaves all the way. Now see where the belt sits when you loop it around the sheaves. If it appears to come to rest in the same position as your ink marks suggest, you'd have to figure out what stops the variator travel at its limit and address that. If it does sit higher - like right at the edge or even proud of the edge of the sheaves, consider a longer belt. ZX tranny standard is 654mm, measured around the outer belt circumference. A Vintage 2000s Metropolitan belt is 661mm. There's also a 669 mm ZX belt out there somewhere. Beware of that one: 1. Quality may be poor. 2. Can slow take-off.
