Spree Muffler difference

Spree Muffler difference
I have two Honda Sprees, one is a 85, and the other is an 86. The 85 came with a oval shaped muffler with outlet towards the outside of the moped. The 86 has a rectangular shaped muffler with the outlet towards the inside. Both mufflers came to me predrilled. I wanted to know which was better so I ordered one of eBay, a rectangular one, But it came predrilled also. Does anyone have any ideas on which one is better? It will not be till next spring before I due my own test.
