Spree factory decals

Post by scootoe »

I am refinishing the body of my scooter. When I am done with the painting I want to put on the spree logo stickers so I can restore it to original or somewhat original shape. Where could one get new spree stickers ?

They still show them on www.partsfish.com from Honda, not sure if they're available or not.

You can buy every part of the spree from CDMOTO.com. I bought a parts manual CD from them on Ebay and it lists the stickers and anything else.
The stickers vary depending on the year, the large sticker was $10.

Also on the 'making your own' stickers, the Cricut, Craft Robo and Silhouette machines being discussed as possible 'gasket cutters' are targeted at such tasks.

Since the stickers are not as dimensionally fussy, I think we can take photos, and process from there. Slight curvature distortion and lens distortion will occur, but some can be compensated for.

However, I've never gone through the process, just getting interested enough to look around...
But check into any required optional software as part of the cost.

yeh, what im thinking is, i'll trace it, scan it, take it to office depot on a flash drive, they have high quality printers and will print on just about anything. ive got the design from the side panel of my '85 parts bike. and im attempting to use the microfiche to reproduce the others in photoshop.

Not sure about Office Depot, but many print shops now have the inkjet printers that can put UV and water resistant images on clear vinyl.

The Cricut or CraftRobo would work really well for cutting these stickers. I've already got a spot on the Wiki to hold these files if someone can get them together. I've got the '84 logo now. If someone wants to make a vector file out of it, it could be used to cut a new decal.

Vector file version is here. You will need to resize to actual original for accuracy.
