Scrotal Shrapnel
Greetings:
Just be thankful the shrapnel went through the case, not your saddle, Jeans, and tighty-Whities!

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

I think that pic came from the hawaii forums.. i remember seeing one like that before. I have seen some that rip the studs out from the cylinder, bend the exhaust! I usually see rod breakage from again over revving then seize.
Alot of people dont realize that if your bike has a good heat seize, the crank can bend very easily. I always check the trueness of them before I assemble, even if its brand new parts. Spinning around at that kines of RPMS< then getting the piston stuck, something has to take all that stress.

Design Limits
Greetings:
High performance. Honda-san designs a nice, quiet, civilized and dependable 2-stroke for the masses. But we're not satisfied with merely "adequate" output.
Pistons get bigger, strokes grow longer, masses get heavier, breathing deeper, revs climb higher, heat output increases... but;
Cases get no stronger. Unbalanced rotational forces start "stretching" the bearing mounts. Vibration introduced, calamity ensues.
Fast, Cheap, or Reliable. Pick any two.
