1987 Aero: I Got Yer Reah Center Panel Right Heah!

Post by Wheelman-111 »

Greetings:

Scooterwerx gave me the idea but his custom stern omitted the taillight and license plate illumination in favor of a cleaned-up sleek look. I modified his design to retain legality. I'm quirky that way.

Just a sheet of Al You Mini Yum, some sturdy scissors and a several pieces of cardboard - to work up the right shapes before sacrificing precious metal - later... Have another sheet to improve on some flaws, but this'll be good enough. Certainly better than exposed bracketry.

I could do a better job folding and molding. Have another Al. sheet to trace and try again... :)

Looks pretty durn good to me.

I have to say, the *-end of that Aero is nice looking; in fact, the whole d*** bike is pretty. There's a spud selling an '85 Aero-80 nearby; gunked up carb, crap-gas - been sitting since Lincoln was shot; usual story. I could probably cop it for cheap.

Then again, it means more wrench time. And 'Pasquale' might throw a crank to get even with me if I start messin' with another babe.

Decisions, decisions. :o
