That really sucks! Maybe if insurance takes their pound or ten of flesh you can work out keeping the scooter to pull some parts from. Hope the road rash isn't to bad!

My friends in Japan are gathering my receipts for me. I told the insurance rep this morning that the scooter was built bolt by bolt with all new parts. We'll see how it goes, and if it doesn't I have an attorney that can mediate it if necessary.

Man, I leave town for a couple days and see this? Sorry Sanjuro, glad to hear you're okay, sort of, and I'd be freaking if that was mine. Good luck with the insurance company, hope you rape the *!

I am a bit late on your accident. Have you recovered?

Sanj,

Sorry to be late and ask if you are oK.... that freaking sucks, dude. I cant believe I just read that...

So since it seems like you are oK (with a healing pinky finger)-

...I have to ask... is your BURIAL pipe OK??!! Any dents or scrapes? :surprise:

Hope your fingr gets better, dude - and hope all will be oK with your Dio. I KNOW you will rebuild. Better, Faster, Stronger-

Later, jon :coolcruise:

Surprisingly, the Burial pipe made it without so much as a nick or scratch. I was shocked.

Sanj,

So as long as you & the Burial pipe are oK, I have confidence that you will rebuild even better. Freaking sucks, none-the-less about the whole thing...

glad you are oK dude - jon :coolcruise:

Fired her up for the first time in months and almost forgot how quick this thing is. Current jet settings are 35 pilot and 155 main jet. I don't remember the front end lifting from a standstill, but it readily did it this time around.

The only issue is the back wheel/tire looks wobbly when I rev the bike on the centerstand. I had replaced the rear tire, so now I think either the rim is out of whack or the final drive got tweaked some how. I'll swap out the final drive spindle tomorrow, and see if the problem still persists.
