Jets are flow rated and drilling does not chamfer the holes so the jet does not flow properly and is a poor way to jet an engine. Buy the jets you need and do it right.

Yes, they would sell them if they didn't work RIGHT. Are you really this naive? You will never find any competent carb person of company recommending drilling jets. It is stop gap at best and a problem in the future. How you have an 68 marked jet that is now actually a, 86, 96 or 105 or whatever. Yeah, that's the way to operate.

The uninform leading the unknow will always end up bad. Oh and a drill 89 jet is not an 89 jet, jets are flow rated not a drill size.

Whoa. Let get back on topic please, lol. I understand the flowrate thing. Just like I wouldn't buy a modified injector for my car (atleast not without flow charts and spray patterns), I, personally, wouldnt want to run a drilled jet. Not that I feel there's anything wrong if you do run them, and if you are getting away with it, and your bike is running, awesome!! I'm going to prolly purchase a 75 or so, but I have to wait until the next time I'm in Olympia (we dont have honda bike dealer anywhere near my home), 85 is the smallest online that I can find, and I'm going to assume that's waaaay too much for this setup.

On a cooler note, I'm going variated soon! Bought a ruckus motor tonight for $100, missing exhaust and belt cover, but otherwise complete w/2k miles. I'll update when I get it! My current motor is going into the parts bike, which I am currently trying to get ahold of a title for so I can sell to my friend for funding my swap :D. If anyone has a titled frame, let me know. Condition does not matter to me.

Also, here's a better pic of my s13 :D

FYI:

The stock Ruckus jets are the same size as the Spree. 75 is the stock Ruckus main so Im sure you'll have no problem getting one on TR

Good deal on the Ruck engine

I have a 09 Ruck, and just picked up an 86 Spree ( Clean title/non-running/Got it off of an old guy that used it to run around the marina, so it looks good, but has been sitting for about 5 years) for $200 Yesterday. I will start troubleshooting that in the morning... I have a funny feeling it will be a slow winter project.

i realise that jets are measured by flow rate not jet size but when i was tuning my scoot i had numerous stock jets so i started with a 1mm jet drill tried it to rich then drilled another stock jet to a 0.99 jet drill bit size then 0.98 then 0.97 and so on till i got the bike running the way it should b with all the mods i have my plug chops have a good colour and have done just over 1000kms with out a hiccup with the way it is set up it runs 40mph + but i guess i dont know what im talking about

Working on a triple-tree setup from a chinese scooter my brother had. Forks are kinda wide, but I think I can make them work. Also have disk brakes on them. Only problem is it's a 6" wheel :(. There's a wheel repair shop in town, I'm going to see if they could swap the axle from the 6" wheel to a stock ruckus front wheel, we'll see.

Woohoo! Got my motor today. Going to start mocking stuff up on my spare frame for the motor mount, then worry about getting all the electrical and cables. Last on the list is the front fork swap. This is kind of a side project, and since riding season is pretty much over where I live (and I'm broke), I'm prolly going to take a while on this build, but I'll update when I do anything!

s***! I hope it fits!! lol
