Mainly because 4 strokes are boring and EPA required. Oh and CC to CC, 4 strokes never have the potential for horsepower that 2 strokes do.

A 150cc 4t engine is the same equivalency as a 72cc 2t engine.... meaning a 150cc 4t bike would have to race a 72cc 2t bike to be fair race...

ya but torques ratings r different as is tuning. you could cruise on a 4t at higher speeds with lower rpms do to torque. much easier on a 4t that a 2t. although i luv may 2t bikes. the bike was just a spare project that required no money to through at it. simply parts i had laying around. ive done enough projects on 2t so i figured this would be a good project plus i can cruise at a speed of 55 comfortably

Ah, but torque is what accelerates you, but horsepower is what gives you top speed and a 2 stroke is alway going to out horsepower a 4 stoke of equal size. If you want startling, put a 150 2 stoke in your scooter.

Building is fun, and tuning can be fun, but reliability is important.

Unfair comparison. Compare a 125 to a 125 or a 150 to a 150, which you can't because the EPA won't allow it without $1500 of DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) technology on the 2 stroke. I figure by undoing Honda's EPA required limitations on my Aero 125 I should have at least a 75 mph machine with an easy 55 mph cruise.

The 4 stroke is also quieter for night riding in town. Good for not * of neighbors. That's what i like about my cheap china bike, it's very quiet. Fast two-smokers are rarely quiet, and have an exhaust note appreciated by only enthusiasts. The guy next door likley just thinks it's like firing up a chainsaw at 2am.

Dude that's nasty. I got a Spree frame out back I thought about doing this on to make me a bike to take to the track. I'm sure if you toy around with the transmission it'll really scream. I put a CH125 on a CH80 frame which is almost bolt in other than radiator.

I'm just waiting for another wrecked 150 to come my way. I bought 4 this summer and sold all the parts, wishing I had kept one engine.
