Best Spree Stand Ever .

Post by 66SIX »

I always had problems putting up the stand on a spree ...
I was always feeling around with my foot trying to find it .
And even though a spree is very light you have to give it a little pull to raise it .
Well No more ...
Last week I got a Elite SR for parts and it was a lot heavier than a spree
but I noticed how nice the stand would go up .
Push down and it would almost go up on it's own .
I think Honda figured out that little extra piece of tube acted like a fulcrum .
Well a buddy richdavison34 from the forum stopped by and I was saying I wanted to
put the bar from the Elite on my spree stand and Rich wanted to try out my cracker box welder .
Only problem is the Elite stand is bigger and just dosen't match up .
So I thought just use the Elite part that sticks out ...Might work ???
So we started cutting and Rich started welding (excellent welder )
Came together quite fast or Rich is just a good welder ?
I gave it a quick paint job and stuck it on the Spree .
Bang done worked great first time ...
What a difference easy no lifting ,can find it without looking .dosen't hinder kick starter .
This worked out great . Thanks for all your help Rich (richdavison34)
if anyone gets a chance check out some of the other custom stuff he's done , really quality work .
I am so happy with the way this came out , I might have to talk to richdavison34 and see if we can come up with
a way to make more for all my Sprees .
Here are some pics of the build .

Holy s*** SIX, it looks factory after the paint job!!

I think we'll need a few more beers to figure out exactly how that spree shock mount is supposed to work.

I'm so stoked that it came out so well! Those foot pegs look sick as well!

I'm sure we have many more good ideas and good beers ahead of us.

I put the bump stop for the center stand on top of your welding table. It's a little rubber piece that fits in the center stand to prevent it from having metal to metal contact with the crank case.

Also, thanks to Don (hopefully soon to be member) for the photos.

Good times SIX. Thanks for having us over.
