Re: af18 spree
So winter is right around the corner and I want to do a nice paint job on this scoot. The stock plastics look in fair color condition in my other pics, but it could definitely use some improvement. Was thinkin either repainting it red and putting some white vinyl "Spree" logos on it or one of these two color combos.
Any ideas on other base/accent color combinations you guys can think of that would look good?
I'm doing a creme and pink or purple color combo on the stock spree

Re: af18 spree
I do like the yellow. Been playing around with some greys/blues/reds. Still not sure which direction I want to go.
Re: af18 spree
Be careful if you go with the yellow you should get better gas mileage and get an extra 3 M.P.H. on the top end .lilredspree wrote:I do like the yellow. Been playing around with some greys/blues/reds. Still not sure which direction I want to go.

Re: af18 spree
Ya. Was plannin on doin a rattle can job. With the body panels I cut up I saved the excess and have been playing around with different adhesion promoters and primers. Got a pretty good combo figured out. Much body work to be done first.
Still kind of just want to bring it to a body shop and have them do the body work and paint.

Re: af18 spree
I would be afraid of going on the highway with this thing because of how thin my front tire is. It could easily get stuck in a crack and veer me off course. It cruises nicely 35-45 and according to my trail tech head unit I have hit 63.8mph on flat. Will need to find someones GPS and verify that my trailtech is calibrated properly. At slower speeds any sort of error is not really noticeable, but a small error in calibration could add up quite quickly with higher speeds.

Re: af18 spree
Had a nice day of cool weather riding. Here are some updated shots. Shows new aux gas tank. Also painted intake black. Got tired of that being really the only piece of chrome on the whole bike.
