Dead 87 SE50P

I installed new rings, gaskets, and new air filter yesterday and it cranks and idles fine but it is all sputtery and boggy. This morning i changed fuel lines to clear and noticed the manifold spitting gas into the vacuum line so i swapped to a 94 sa50 carb and it seems to run better but still too rich. Anyone know what would cause a stock motor with everything stock and adjusted right to run rich?

Well I finally got some time this morning to finish this little project up. I swapped the motors from another se50 I bought and swaped the cables and oil tank and all that. I found a set off red panels on ebay a while back with the lock but no key. Luckily the honda shop was able to cut a key for just the seat lock I tired the 94 sa50 carb on there but just was satisfied so I swapped the original back on today and got her all bolted down and wiped clean. For the past month or so this chic has been paying me a little down to own it I sold it to her for 400 and she still owes me 150 and I wont let her have it till she finishes paying She wanted me to paint it bright pink but changed her mind later. I was also going to do the rims but she didnt want to pay extra so she will have to have that done. Usually I restore from top to bottom but at that price she can pay someone else to put those finishing touches especially if she wants the rims PINK lol Alls well that ends well
