new to this(86 nb50)

Post by db3ck »

Picked up a 86 honda aero 50 today, needs a new jug as the flange for the exhaust is broke and not fixable, and possibly new plastics because most are broke or missing but for $50 seems like it could be a fun project

I've looked into my options and I'm not quite sure what way to go with it, I'd like to just get it running for now but seems this is the hardest model motor to find a stock top end kit for, I looked into big bore kits but there either more then I'm willing to spend at the moment or more then a different motor would cost

I've seen some ppl swap in the aero 80 motor or dio motor but would like to know the cost of a full swap

Any picks of the broken flange. From my experience of breaking one I've done some research and have seen some repaired depending on where it's broken. And welcome

Here's how it sits as of right now I have the front cover and one side cover p.o will be getting me the rest of what he has for the plastics

My plan as far as looks is to fix the front cover and paint it and possibly leave the rear covers off and find something different for a tail light and turn signals
