I got my ruckus variator all installed today with some polini 6.3 gram rollers. I really like it. Gave me some really nice acelleration and still more top end. I'm pretty sure I'm doing about 43-48 mph pushin a bit past my full fuel mark easy which I very happy with. I only had to shave away a very small area of my starter housing to make it fit. Just used a flat head and some sand paper and she's perfect. I'll put up a few pics later

Thanks I hope I am lol. I just sealed up the holes for now. i wanna put a pod filter on anyways. mine doesnt stay fitted very well and i just really like the look of the pods.

Im not sure what i need to do to get it set up for a pod filter though so any help there would be nice.

also i noticed today while riding that im getting alot of bog when i initially hit the throttle and then it kicks in and seems perfect after that. only from a complete stop really even my quick stops some stop signs it stays reved up and doesnt bog when i go wot again. it doesnt bog out as if it was gonna die just a little bit before it really gets rollin.

thanks guys for eveything so far guys everyone has been a great help with info and parts

Enrichen the idle mixture by an 1/8 of a turn (screw the mixture screw in) and if that does not cure it, try another 1/8 turn.

Thanks not sure which screw that one is though. I have the service manual if it's in there but I haven't found it yet. Or if it's easy to explain?

Thanks for the quick response Bear

It is NOT the one that is inline with the slide.

Haven't updated my build in quite awhile figured it was time to get in here and fix it up. Lots of changes since I last posted

Decided to go with a frame up re build. Started with a full stripping of everything to the frame to get it powder coated black.

Was a pain in the * but worth it in the long run. Helped for priming and painting the case anyway.

Thanks to a member here I got lucky enough to snag up one of the discontinued 65cc Polini BBK on eBay for a steal. Cleaned it up when it arrived from Italy did some cleaning of all the ports in the outside of the jug didn't mess with inside or exhaust raising, I did clean up a lot and polished the exhaust port and flange dust take pics I guess maybe next time it's off. But here's installed

What I'm at for jetting at the moment is 110/40. Starts first kick and idles good sounds good through out the throttle but is maxing out at about 40 GPS. Pretty sure I need to add a couple grams to the variator load. Using 6.2 polini rollers now, I think I need to be closer to 8s to really take advantage of the high reving polini. She's hit 9k on the tach already!! Being careful with stock stock gears.

Running a stock ruckus variator had to do some slight shaving if the case to give it some room but nothing serious. I'm using the malossi special belt little wider and little longer I believe. The teeth are completely different at least.
