Less taxes to the govt! We're overtaxed here in Kally anyway!

Plus, going the easy way isn't neccessarily the better way. I learn good customizing/fabricating skills doing these conversions.

Well, this weekend's mishap putting a hole in the final reduction reservoir on my 86 spree commuter had me fastracking this build!! I scavenged all the custom parts off the holed spree and got this 85 electric start up and running! Their are still some issues to work out like the carb empty's fuel into the cylinder if I leave the petcock open. Trying to get it started that way kills the battery and with no kickstart that's a problem. So I shut the petcock about a 300 yds from my destination to lower the fuel in the bowl. Seems to work. I'll know for sure tomorow morning when I try to start it completely cold.

I plan a beach day with the d*** dog! :)

Quick question: I was swapping the 86 exhaust onto the 85 and as I was tightening eveything, I noticed the spacers, that are used on the 86 exhaust mount points, don't fit on the 85!? Does the 85 do without those spacers normally? Cause this one sure does.

I'll get a better pic tomorrow.

BEHOLD! THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSPREE!

Newest tinkering. I had a expansion chamber for a 49cc pkt bike laying around so I decided to weld it on and see what it did to the FrankenSpree.

It helped takeoff and overall throttle response. Did nothing to top speed but I'll take throttle response over top speed on the Spree any day!

Here's a pic, looks like an abortion but I obviously don't care about looks. The little pkt bike muffler does a great job of quietting it down. It's just a touch louder than stock.

LOL! It's been a functioning train wreck for 7 months since I found it sitting 15 years in a shed.
