Greetings:

Not much riding time between work and bad weather in Deepinnaharta. I did mount a TTO CHT gauge and converted my analog to an exhaust stud gauge - nearly useless I know.
Fired up Monday just to run errands and I like the power down low with the V8 but no speed runs to report. Ran 55 with the ADV. I like to keep trying different things.

Greetings:

Errand run.

2.5 hours and maybe 35 miles. During a quarter-mile WOT run, upwind and up a gentle hill, it pulled 52 MPH. Rpm now corraled by a 38-gram load to 8500, where it seem to pull better than at 9k. Max temp was 303. I'm guessing it's good for 58 as it is now, too slow ffor Deepinnaharta Freeway.

Might have to spring for MHR after all. And an exotic pipe...

Greetings:

Is the MHR not as reliable or durable? The Corsa would stil be alive were it not for bonehead needle clip aspiration, and it got a flogging every day for a year...
I need an easy 65 to get on Deepinnaharta Freeway. Don't think that'll happen with the M'Arn.

You need a better pipe me thinks. The mhr is great and stays cooler for longer rides but you can only rack up 5-6k miles tops. Also the mhr cant over bore like corsa or cast iron. Why not have someone like baka or tru72 port that sucker with more aggressive porting? It still will only last about the same as a mhr but at least you can rebore it

Greetings:

Thanks for the advice. Exotic Pipes are hard to find at anything like an affordable price here on the Mainland. PG performs well but too dang loud. The one Long I had lasted less than two years. The short survived intact to sale, but I was tired of the screaming.

I wouldn't mind a more aggressive port job on the Iron cylinder, but being a rookie at porting there's a good chance I'd ruin the kit with a slip o' the wrist. If the MHR bolts on to the current boost port (adapted to the Iron), then that's my best option. At the rate I ride, 5K miles would last a lifetime...

Wheelman even with the mhr your going to need a better pipe. There isnt really a quiet performance pipe although as far as db volume goes the scorpian isnt too bad
