I opened up this thread, saw that, and said "Oh my god"
I remember when my bike looked like that too  I haven't kept mine in as good condition as you

Why did you go with the streetfighter look over the live headset?
In 2040 they say we're going away
We could never let them control

I didn't want to cut the wire harness yet.plus everybody uses a headset and not the streetfighter look so I went the streetfighter look.plus all my other bikes have headsets.I'm going to use that headset on my other bike when I get around to building it.

I worked on it when I had time during the winter.from the time I striped it down to putting it all back just to ride it was about 2 months.but it can be done in a week if you have all the parts ready to go.I had to remold the inner panel because the triple and fork leg would hit the panel so I had to heat gun the panel and push it out to make clearance.that was the only hard part because I wanted the ineer panel to look like it was still stock so I took my time heating and molding so no holes or deformed shapes formed.

The only triple that doesn't touch on the 87 elite 50 is the honda g dash triple.
