I was thinking of riding down as well. No registration is needed or anything like that, right?

Just double checking...

so i swapped the elite rear shock with a aero 50 shock and no change was made. then i got a ruckus shock on there and man what a difference.

my new question is this.
does an aero 50 air box work on an elite with no major mods being done to it?

Greetings:

Mounting the Aero box to an Elite may present some challenges, depending on the model year of the Elite. The Aero's stock manifold points the carb nearly directly at the shock. The box itself "wraps" around the shock and evidently tucks in closer to the wheel/tire. Hence the "Aero" label?

Beginning in 1988(? - 1987 or earlier on JDM models), even AF05E-engined Elites got a different manifold different reed petals, and which was also angled differently, along with a different airbox. Therefore, Bracket Trickery may be required to mount the Aero box to this different configuration. The Aero box isn't bad, and has some mod potential but the Aftermarket offers easier solutions, perhaps with even more performance potential.

Looks pretty good for bare bones, except for that front triangle. Paint it black or something :)
