After smoothing things out in the bore, installed and ran through a few heat cycles. Things are looking good.

Here is a list of parts fixed replaced on the bike as of yet:
Keli vari
1k ruima center spring
polini clutch 1k springs
new oem belt
front wheel replaced with larger 95mm brake drummed wheel
rear wheel replaced with honda metropolitan wheel and 90/90-10 tire
oil res/sensor replaced
speedo cable replaced

Malossi Gears hit NYC customs today from italy. The fun never stops.

Greetings;

Very wise choices so far, Mr. Pibb. Especially enlarging that front brake.

Pics of the nice cross-hatch finish on that cylinder are nice and all, but C'mon show us some Full Frontal Scootity!

What type of scoot did the larger front wheel come from? Being 90mm is equal to 3.54 inches, whats the difference between a 90/90-10 and a 3.5-10?

The larger from wheel came off a stock 94+ elite. I had the smaller 88mm brake drum that was standard on a 92 elite and aeros i believe.

A 90/90 tire sits a little taller than a 3.00 and not as tall as a 3.50, but on the 2.16 width metro tire is considerably wider and makes for much better handling. After the switch i felt like i could corner with much better agility and safety.

Did a test today:

close to 165psi compression? I knew it felt harder to turn over, but does that seem high? too high?

Greetings:

Pibbs, the gasketless cylinder and o-ringed head of Flash II's Malossi 65 made about 175 PSI. It didn't knock or ping running premium. I was getting erroneously high CHT gauge readings at the time, so I chickened out and reinstalled the base gasket. There was a small but noticeable power decline afterwards.

I suggest you proceed but jet way rich. Consider a BPR 8 or a 9 if you can get one. Check your cooling shroud for gaps, muffler tape if necessary. Watch temp gauge closely. If you approach 400, carefully decrease throttle but don't slam it shut. Don't abuse before break-in of a tank or two. Do it carefully - if at all - after that. I'll bet it'll be fine.

The "slash 90" means the height is 90% of the nominal width, or 3.18" last time I dusted off the calculator. The sidewalls are thus a bit stiffer and the profile is flatter than the perfect circle of the 3.50, making a bigger, more stable contact patch.

The downside is that it rides at least as coarsely as a 3.00, especially if inflated to sidewall max. pressure. Remember actual tire size as measured by inflated rubber can differ from these dimensions considerably.

Do I need premium with 165psi? I am still early in the first tank of break-in with a 100 main and a bpr7 in the shoot.

Had to go the the post office today and pickup a package:

Open her up, some nice NOS:

I will work toward pressing these on in the coming weeks.
Currently slowly breaking in the bore. I know i am running rich right now, fouled one plug with oil - turns out more isn't always better. Also working on a CHT - will document.
Thanks for reading

Yes run premium gas for that size bore and compression.listen for pinging or knocking.
Nothing like getting stroked!

165 psi is pretty high for a static compression reading; 11:1. If you have a true expansion chamber you might be in trouble when you get it "on the pipe" for long.

I should put a compression gauge on my bike. Maybe next year? Winter is settling in and we are moving starting next week.

I am not sure what you mean by this. What do you mean when you say "on the pipe"?
Currently I am running the stock pipe.
