So here is the engine I will be rebuilding from the ground up. Thanks to eliteguy50 for the hookup. One major thing wrong with the engine is that the exhaust bracket on the smaller case half is busted off. The bottom mount is still existing, but has a broken broken bolt that will not come out for the life of me. I've busted a easy out in what was left of it, and will be seeing my local welder for help.

But here goes, someone step by step of the tear down.

you can get them online. i got mine from the local motorcycle shop.
24mm x 1.0 RH thread. Make sure thread is on outer side of the tool.

This is pretty much the same one i have. I just swapped out the allen head bolt with a normal 9/16 hex head from homedepot. I thought it was kind of silly to have a allen wrench style head, as it's not very common.

Just make sure the tool has the threads on the outside. Check the tech documents, I wrote to HowTo's on splitting the case and use the mag puller. More detailed pictures.

a little tip for you guys, the steering wheel works good for pulling flywheels as well. that's what I use and it works great. Just a small trigger tap of my impact and "pop" off it comes, and it's never hurt a thing.

i've tried that as well but pulled the threads right out of the fan holes. =) So I figured i'd get the correct tool for the job.

Ha! :bowrofl: I'm currently tied up into another project at the moment. I blew the motor on my Toyota truck. It's something that needs to be done. But hey good news is i'm doing a engine conversion from the stock 3.0 to a newer 3.4 engine. Funny thing is, the newer engine is more power and better MPG. Who would have though.

Next plans for the scooter, reinforcing the frame, powder coating, and then building one of the three engines. I have laying around. I was going to go with a 120CC stroker engine but hear more con's than pro's.

still doin the yota? Cmon bro! lol yah 3.4 gets better mpg cuz of weight to power. crazy in a sense, but after ya sit down n think about it, its like..oh yah..never thought of it that way. So just curious, how'd ya pop the motor? and what year is it? lol..you could prolly get the toyota recall done on it if its 95 or newer. i know alot of ppl who got 150 percent of the "excellent Condition" sales price. (yota's are used ALOT round here for offroading cuz of theyre size. Nice N small!!)

Well it's on top of the list but the girl's bro came in from Euro for the whole month. So we showed him around So. California, and took him to Vegas. Now that he has left as of yesterday I can get back into fixing the Yota. Then get back into building my spree.

oh the truck is a 92 4x4. I think the val dropped out of the head into the cylinder. I didn't feel like ripping things apart.
