Well hopefully no one was holding their breath waiting for an update... A year and 4 months later I have 4000 miles on the 48mm bore with the 42.3mm mini stroker. Belt is wearing out and I maybe the clutch pads too. Also the exhaust fell off. So I am hoping to get a stock exhaust for now so I can afford new trans parts. I am planning on new variator and ramp plate and new belt. Anyone have suggestions for center spring and vari weight combos for this size motor(76.5750857 cc)? When income permits I will be getting an after market exhaust. I am thinking the phongeer v8. But if I can get a PG long used for a good price I would prefer to get that.

Thanks to everyone's help here I have had a reliable scoot for over a year.

I guess I should clarify that I would like to be able to do wheelies if I try hard enough and I would like to go close to 50mph.

Greetings:

The PGs Long and Short are very high-revving pipes that fall flat at low revs. The V8 has juice at the bottom for wheelies but runs short of breath above 9K.
Consider the ADV IF DaNano808 can get more. Flash did its first power wheelie ever with it, and with 7.5 gears. Seems to pull strong on past 9.5K . That be 55+ with 9:1s. 65 or more with 7s.

Well I have had the new belt and pipe on for a while now. I am not sure but I think it is time to get new rings for this motor. I just rented a compression tester from autozone. going to test see what's happening in there

Just did the compression test. 71 psi. So I guess I should check out the reed valves first right? Can leaky reeds cause significant power loss?

Well I heard an awful rattle today so I decided to take the top end a part. here is what I found
Image

If you can't tell I lost a wrist pin clip and the wrist pin rubbed on the cylinder wall for a while. I can't find the wrist pin clip. I hope I don't have to open up the bottom end.
Anyway tell me what you think... I am planning to have this 48mm cylinder bored out to 50mm and run the RIK 50mm piston. Trouble is finding the right 50mm piston and rings. Any help in finding this would be great!

I think you should give up that hope. It ain't hard, with a $20 steering puller kit from Harbor Freight. See the opening "Pic" in Flash 5...
