Re: Firts Scoot build!
The side pic the stem looks really long.maybe the pic and background makes it look long. was the stem you put in and the stock stem the same length?
Nothing like getting stroked!

true.Trafficjamz wrote:bakaracer wrote:the stem is the threaded rod thats connected to the triple clamp that holds the fork legs. that thing is long and high. why didn't you shorten it up a little? the stem usually is level with the seat height or are you making the bars like a extended chopper style where the bars are sky high?
I was thinking that too. But then I rememberd there is no seat or seat bucket on this bike yet.
If you try to imagine it with the bigg * elite e seat on it, the bars don't seem so high.
im gonna but a solo bike seat on it
I ride this scooter to make up for my extremely large *.

Re: Firts Scoot build!
That's odd. I thought all the GY6's had the mount on the top of the motor.
I have a line on a ratty 150 GY6 donor that has been radared at 70 wit 13" tires. I think I'll put a 10" on it to slow it up and have crazy acceleration. Well if I can ever get my hands on it.

Re: Firts Scoot build!
I thought the gy6 50cc with a 2.50 knobby tire would be a great off-road toy, the 4-stroke has plenty of low end torque for trail riding.
