Bringing this back to life after far to long. Life (literally) got in the way when I found out Mrs. Fish was expecting. So I am just now getting back to this build after a very long, and still sleepless hiatus.

I have a couple of teaser photos I took today, but can't load them directly to the IPad so I will try to get them up this weekend.

I also followed Wheelman (a good guy to be following!) and purchased a set of these here front springs on Ebay.

Not being at all happy that the goldish color would go with my slowing forming color scheme, I used my new favorite product (Plasti-Dip) and made them look like this.

I had to thin down the blue dip with Naptha solvent to keep it from filling in the spring coils (round one turned it into a solid rubberized coil), and the blue is a little lighter than my other blues. Then a few shots with their (Plasti-Dip) silver "Metalizer" spray and over all I am happy with the color as compared to the gold!

I keep plugging away at the build. Recently I was tinkering with the new airbox from Daywot. When I recieved it I was not all that happy witht he quantities of foam included to "filter" the incoming air. The two foam pieces included are probably suffucient enough to screen the road sand and rocks down to a fine sandblasting consistancy, but the biggest fear is the foam pieces did not quite cover the entire intake opening to the edges.

I bought a thin (~1") piece of charcoal colored foam from Bob's Foam Factory and cut it to fit the inside edge of the airbox, creating about a 1"X1" gasket around the edge.

I also was not happy that there was an unprotected hole in the upper rear corner of the box right inline with the road sand and grime coming off the rear wheel. So I cut another piece to stuff into the box in that corner as well.

Hopefully this will help to keep the large chunks of salty road sand out of my intake!

I never posted updates and for that I am sorry. But now that life circumstances dictate that I sell the scoot I figure I might as well close out this thread with a final update and photos:

A 2ÔÇØ stretch on the rear swing arm to move things back a little and make it look a lot better.
Honda Ruckus rear wheel & tire.
Performance variator for better acceleration and greater top speeds
Prodigy Performance clutch with 1500 center spring and vented bell for better engaging and less slip
Powder coated variato/clutch cover yup it just looks better
Higher ration gears (9.1) in the final drive
Nickasil 78cc aluminum oversized bore
Oko reed/intake
Oko 19mm carburetor
Dial-A-Jet fuel management system

V8 exhaust system
Trail Tech Cylinder head temperature gauge
