A Just Gyros forum sounds like a great idea . I just don't know how to start the thread .

I'm in the same boat with tires......not sure what to use for my purpose which is motard racing. Got spend happy and bought a pair of 3.50 X 6 kart slicks.....they'll hook up but losing a bunch of circumfrence.....it comes down to try-an-see :geekdance: .......knobbies will work for the street bike--the '86, but I expect a 5.30-4.50 x 6 will rub fenders.....anybody got the word on that ??? :woot:

ok, so ive been working on this front end all day. got the blinkers about straight as im going to get it. the headlight bucket was off to. i think thats about as close as its going to get. the headlight bezel was bent in the top right corner. small hammer and punch got it close. still a little bent, but close enough. speedo and bracket next. :ndance:

Thanx rolex dan....sawtooth is preferred over knobbies.....and I really want to keep fenders on both bikes, but in time, the motard bike will probably get a few mods. I've watched the race Gyros and see the "fatties" they run in Japan. Do I want to copy them?....answer seems to be yes. Trouble is, I'm a non-conformist

well, i think i can call it complete for the front end. only thing i didnt get to work is the high beam light and the blinker light. both bulb sockets are pretty rusty. put the charger up to it for the first time to try everything out....and it is a success. the next thing to tackle is the fuel/ oil lines. oh, new rear tires will be here tuesday.

Looking really good
Our Gyro's had bent turn signal stalks, headlight brackets bent and bezel damage. They are better than when they showed up, yet would need to make a second pass to get it close to yours.

was able to get the oil pump and intake bolted up. the carb is coming with me to work to get cleaned tonight. yea mouse, the only thing im really not to happy about is the handle bars. u can see all the pits in the chrome. over all with my help from my good buddy dan, this bike is really coming together nicely. i had a deadline of jan 1st to have it completed, but didnt really realize just how much work, time and hours go into one of these things. so, i set a new deadline of march 1st. really the only the time consuming thing i have left is working the rear fender and getting it in paint. with dans help, im sure it will come together nicely. more pix to come. :geekdance:
