1986 Honda Gyro complete rebuild
hello all. well i thought id share some pics with my new scooter that was bought and givin to me by a good friend. i worked on all 4 of his gyros and he said for all the work i did in the past, this is the least he could do. it was missing a lot of parts. the top end of the engine was off. i did i quikie and threw it together. it started and ran. that was good enough for me. i washed the frame down yesterday so all these pics are from today. i used my torpedo heater to bake the red paint on once i sprayed it. enjoy.

heres the paint i used. red of corse lol. i applied it in stages. once i got the last coat on, i kicked on my torpedo heater and got my garage to almost 140*. let the paint bake on the frame for hour. came out awesome. i plan on keeping it for a while. as for my aero, no i sold that a couple years ago. i got $800 for it. heres a couple of pics cleaned up some.

That came out real good Jay for a rattle can. It almost looks as if was sprayed at a paint shop

well, finally had time to do some more painting. still waiting on all my parts to come. stripped the front rim down and popped out the dust seal and painted it. not bad.

Hey Jay what are you using to remove the old rust and paint from the wheels?
Also for the tires the OG 4.50-6 tires have long been discountinued, but the 4.50/5.30-6 tire size is a perfect fit. I have a pair of ChenShing on my Gyro.
