Using Supermans example were removing 100lbs lowered his et by one second makes it look like 10LBs = 1/10th on a scooter.. in the 1/8 mile that is.
These are just general rules.

Traffic.. yea I think on our last day at the strip our best was 9.4 @ 67.5 MPH with a 190 lb rider and 15.8 at 77 in the 1/4 mile. Wish I could lower the gear some more but were stuck with only a few gearing options. Probably end up putting the nitrous back on to take advantage of the gearing.

That is an impressive time. My friend with a 72cc jog just can't seem to go fast......what is the secret to making the minirelli fly?

No secret it takes $$$
But really there are so many high end parts available for the minerelli based scooter he should be able to go fast.
I just sent my slightly used 77cc kit, crank and pipe to Tru for his latest build... if you would have said something sooner I would have made him a killer deal on it... once Darin mentioned he was looking.. well I know he will make me proud with it :2thumbs:
If you want have him PM me with his setup, maybe I can help.

He has a 96 jog

The crank is stock but it is a japan crank from that year, i think.

he has a 72cc polini corsa, yasuni pipe, vforce intake and cf reeds, 21 and 24mm oko carbs, polini variator.

he is willing to spend the $$$ but I don't know what to tell him to buy.

He wants to go like 9 to 10 seconds in the 1/8th does he need an aftermarket crank?

Traffic that set up properly ported and tuned can go mid 10s in the 1/8 with a 125 lb rider.. I built a bike here with the same bore.
That pipe not be the best match for that bore , im not sure which he got. He should use the polini pipe, works great with their stuff.
building and tuning a minarelli style motor cant be compared to a dio at all. Its a totally different set up with the weights and springs.
ou really need to do the homework and buy stuff that matches the power band and rpms.
Its not like a dio and just put anything on there and it goes LOL!!

Ottoman yes you know i will put that to good use for sure, did some studying today at the bore and can see some areas that can be cleaned up and changed.
Ill keep you posted as usual.. ;)

The reeds just fit that manifold.

Getting that manifold to fit takes a little modification

What is the bull pipe?
I just got a scorpion pipe. for my setup.

do you ported the manifold?

we call the scorpion pipe in our country bull pipe...

i don't see scorpion pipe model in our country..

what we have here are lm pipe and cmr and v8...

most are taiwan made and kinda pricey

so we just go for custom pipe...

btw what crankshaft do u use and what the stroke?

Our local dragstrip is only an 1/8th mile (201 meters) Those are the only "official times"

I would guess that 400m would take about 15 - 16 seconds.
