It looks rough but the engine is actually very sound. I was relieved to see the spleans on the crank where not stripped. This is actually the first AF18 engine that has the skinny crankshaft as you can see in the picture. It is a first generation dio and the speans are delicate and strip easily over time and error on installing the fly wheel. Just think this is the dio model that started it all.

The forks are done. They are froze solid. I can take them apart but I know they are rusted to s***. Any ideas on the forks?

I am going to trick this thing out good. I have the majority of the panels but am missing the underskirt and side trim pieces. Parts for this are hard to come by.

Taiwan specials for the forks? Other then that...I would take some time to tear that engine apart. Nice find though. Body looks great but that engine need some more life in it.

I saw a nice set of ruckus front shocks on eBay for cheap. Do they fit the dio(af18)????? They looked very close to the dio front shocks.

Not yet. I was so busy with repairs this last summer I never got a chance to touch it. I have all the parts and I will get on it as soon as it warms up again. I still have my honda tact (AF16) to refurbish. lol

Look forward to seeing this through Taz. That head light can be made new again. If its not by the time I get done with my duty, you can ship the light to me and I will hook you right up for free. I still owe you a few.
