Greetings:

Nicely finished and all. I hope I'm mistaken, but it looks like the hitch is bolted to the engine via the M6 head bolts. Yikes!

I'm thinkin' about the half-inch or so of those threads screwed into an unsprung engine crankcase that bounces vigorously up and down with pavement patches and potholes. It kinda makes me wince. Now hang a steel ball and trailer hitch with a load of Malty Soda hanging on back there a-yankin' an' a-*.

Nah, it'll probably be OK...

Is it just me or is the idea of using the head bolts as the tow attachment NOT sound like a good idea? I mean those threads are into aluminum.

yes bear. me and dan discussed this already and yes u are right. but...this is just for show. we are considering making up a one off custom hitch that bolts up underneath the engine and frame. another custom flatbed trailer may be in the works. not to sure yet. 8)

ok everyone. first, i just wanna give a special thanks to some people that helped with this build. Jay and Jim our fabricators and Bob for the signs. the gyros are just so rare around here and seeing one with a custom little trailer....cant ask for more. think it turned out just right. a one off custom flat bed will be in the works soon along with a new and improved hitch. 66six....we were thinking of u!

think you're gonna need some higher ratio gears to get that boat going...
but i can see it now...just like a tug boat.
gear the scoot low and slow w/ hella torque...
i would pay to see a spree or other moped tow something like that.

The hitch is kinda big . I just use the chain ...But I like to get a good running start . * I will just drag it down the freeway .
