Gy6 = crap Chinese motor. I'll stock with my GET MOTOR and if I want to go fast then I'll use my Ducati.

GY6 is a Honda based clone motor. 150cc in displacement, 4-stroke.Wheelman-111 wrote:Greetings:
Can Someone, once and for all, define "GY6" please?
Many scooters use this design, from cheap Chinese scooters to the American made Blur.
Why even mod your Met then? Ride your Ducati around

How do you shave your variator? Lather or manually with sand paper?

Don't shave the variator. Shave the lip of the drive face slightly with sand paper by hand

Thanks ute! New rims are on the way along with disc brakes. Paint still undecided but more than likely I will go for Candy Lime Green. This is still in the tuning stage and 50mph was achieved today but was on a slight down hill so I cheated.

nice ride, i have a metro and a ruckus or two, fun to ride and get on and start right up. my metro has everything you can do to it without opening the motor and i am hitting 54 gps verified. my wifes ruckus is gps verified at 58. yes it takes a bit to get there and yes GY6 is faster but i prefer my honda relialbilty.

Thanks cookie. I don't really care for the speed too much. I prefer looking cool for the chicks than to running away from them. I also picked up a ruckus and that will have a fatty and a zuma motor swap.

POS mixture screw needs a special D socket screwdriver. Well, by the looks of it the motor layout and configuration is very similar to the Ruckus but with a bit more restrictions. I got her idling and no more stalling. HEHEHE! Going for a test drive tomorrow morning. Any Met owners here?
never again too slow.
If I could pick up a non running one, I would love to do a dio swap
