thanks for the link evilone. the felpro gasket I am using now is working great. I did notice the paper on outside of the exhaust gasket had discolored from absorbing gas in one spot but none whatsoever has dripped out so I think I am safe using this one, what do you think? At any rate I have put about 60 miles on her the past 2 days. I buried the speedo needle today :D so not sure how fast i was going but whatever speed it was it sounds as smooth as silk without the first sputter but I dont think I made it to 3/4ths throtte so until I do i wont know if my main is right. when i rev it on the stand quickly from idle to full it doesnt bog or sputter guess i will only know for sure with plug chop but going to wait till i have put at least 150 miles on it. I need to mark the throttle and mount my gps somewhere so i will know exactly how fast i can go at what throttle position :D

the only problem I am having now is my battery wont charge or stay charged :( i have checked resistances on the stator, swapped a known good regulator and resistor, checked all the electricals and wires from front to back. Everything works from the stator like blinkers, tail, headlight, even the gauge lights on the dash. only thing that doesnt work hardly at all and only every now and then is the horn. Could the horn be bad or cause the battery to loose charge that quickly?

put a few more miles on her today :D my cousin stopped and asked me if i was broke down when i had stopped to check temps and I told him I bet I can keep up with you in your car (some kind of old foreign boxy looking thing) then I took off and left him :D I waved him around after a few miles and he took off. I let him have a little lead in case he decided to put on his brakes. Man will this scooter FLY I stayed right up with him and didnt even have to go to WOT I dont know how fast I was going but it had to be at least 55. I stopped at the end of my road and did a temp check and the temps were lower than just cruising at 35 :D I am gonna take the garmin with me tomorrow and set it to record my average MPHs and see how fast I go and take some pics of it while stopped on the side of the road on the scoot so you guys can see :D

hhaha thanks Rich, it rides as smooth as silk thanks to your shock mount :D btw I didnt mean anything when I said about round 2 on your sidestands I just figured with the quality of work you do you would charge about 60 or 75 and I didnt want you to make something i couldnt afford to pay for at the moment.

think I may have figured out where my draw is on my electricity. the battery wont stay charged even when riding all day. I have checked all the electricals and wires. swapped in good resistor and regulator and used crimp connectors to secure all my spliced wires instead of just black tape hahha i even swapped blinker relays thinking my draw might have been there since the blinkers were acting funny (slow click if at all) the only thing that didnt work from the stator the whole timorn thought e has been my the wires were backwards once so i swapped them around and it blew a fuze and made my wires almost melt on the battery. I needed to tighten my handbar there was some side to side so i was like heck its gonna rain so i might as well try to figure this out. I swapped the horn from the Spree and i noticed the Eve horns plug in progs are loose. hooked the charger up and so far sooo good. the horn works gooood now as well as all electricals with just the ignition switch on. will charge for an hour or so then see what it does without the charger on it and with it running. Hopefully just a bad horn but i dont see how that would cause a draw like that unless it was grounded all the time. (shrugs) will post results. also gotta figure out why at 30mph i have a high pitched whistle...I am thinking hte chrome guard on the muffler since it has holes in it is catching the wind at that speed at the right angle to cause this, may have to put some shiny exhaust tape over the holes :D dont wanna take it off. oh yea i took this pic for you swimmingfree, d*** chickens :P

I hadnt really messed with the gps program I have on my htc tilt2 smartphone but I knew it would show me the MPH so i turned it on, put it n the glovebox where i could see it and hit the flat str8. I managed to get it to WOT but just for a few seconds before i ran out of road :D I didnt know it till a minute ago but the program GPS Cycle Computer records your avg and max speed, time elapsed, miles traveled and if you upload a map it will plot your course and more even shows altitude and gain. its pretty neat. My max speed was 49.5 :D as soon as my sister takes a picture I will post it :D need to find a longer stretch of road and tune my carb and weights I at least wanna do 55 confirmed. still have a tiny high pitched whistle at low speed but not as bad since i took the chrome off so will need to tape the holes on it and spy out my other tiny whistle, cant stand high pitched noises of any kind. need a tachometer to really fine tune though :( i will try to find hte link to download the cycle computer if anyone is interested no sense in carrying a gps if you already have a phone in your pocket :D

well took the Eve for a spin today about 40 miles with only one small rest stop at the DG :D she runs pretty good except she only gets about 35 or 40 to the tank :( still have some oil at the end of hte tailpipe and it sounds wet at low throttle so I figure I need to tune the carb more since its running rich. 45 pilot I think is too big because when i slow down it sounds like it wants to keep going when i let off the throttle and the muffler is loudest around 1/4th with deep sound in the muffler and almost like a miss every other stroke. Plus I have the clip in the middle :D I am going to put in the 39 pilot and see how that sounds and performs if it idles well then i will raise the clip up one from the middle and see how that performs. I am pretty sure the main is just right or close to it but i have only been WOT twice.

--oh yea checked my transmission oil and it was GREY :) I drained it right then lol maybe that is where my high pit whine was coming from the gear lube watery and thin? gotta make me a little cap for the breath too

Greetings:

Nice results! Going from 45 to 39 Pilot seems like a big jump. There's a 42 out there somewhere...

If you drop the pilot that much, your "just right" main may become too small. The Pilot keeps spitting along with the Main when the throttle opens wide. Reducing its contribution by that much may result in too little fuel at WOT.

Thanks Wheelman you were right the 39 was too small, tried the 42 and it just didnt sound right or transition from idle to 1/4th right, it runs best so far with 45 pilot, 95 main, and clip in the middle. I did find out this recently changed petcock has gone bad too :( it wouldnt shut off so when i hit bumps etc my carb would spit out gas from the overflow I guess. luckily the stock Spree is in the shed so i just swapped petcocks and stuck a nail in the fuel line :D imma run her tomorrow and see how many miles i can go till she goes dead from lack of fuel or as close as i can stand. May try to down the main to 90. It should be getting better gas milage than it is and the plug is dry black at the mixture area.

hahhah the chickens cant get in the shed. Until 2 days ago you couldnt even step foot in the shed without climbing over a mountain of old tools, furniture, boat motors and all the other crap my parents stuffed in there over the years running an auction. I threw away a bunch of s*** and cleared out enough room to stick my c70 and the Spree in there for winter storage till i sell them. I will most likely clean a spot off the smoke porch to store my Eve for the winter :D
