Nice. very cool build!
Do you ride this on the street? If so how are your engine temps? What did you do to get the air shroud to fit? any other cooling mods? I would like to build one but have been told that air cooled strokers run too hot.

the high compression is also a issue too that's what really kills the temps.......

:peace: heat is generated by your tuning.>>if you have a high compression eng with crappy carb/tuning you going run hot and blow your motor.
so keep compression under 140 ish for street and put a proper carb and bore your intake windows CAREFULLY!!! Get a "trail tech" cylinder head temp gauge and a tach off of ebay for like $40 each. im running a 125cc at about 140psi with big manifold and 33 keihn carb that is the s*** ....oko not as good. wot temp is about 300-315deg all day idle about 190ish deg even on 90deg days. it fit fine, just measure correctly to give yourself clearence. Yes i ride it on the street

so high compression does not cause heat spikes?

no...there should be no heat spike...>>??? if your temp gauge spikes that means your running out of gas/lean and need to rejet.

My question wasn't about being too hot due to improper tuning. I assume proper tuning. It was more about exceeding the stock cooling system that was designed to cool a mild 50cc engine.

??? what are you getting at???? you can exceed any cooling system by improper builds!!! the oem cooling systems are great!!! its a moped, not a gp race bike....i more then doubled the displacement and higher compression and it still runs cool as stock, because i took the time to build and tune it correctly..... buy the 2 stroke bible and go to town on your motor. theory is use less unless u try it first hand.

Actually, it's a scooter...but an extremely well-built and carefully tuned scooter.
...and people are still talking about it 5 years later. Kudos... :thumbwink:
