The worship goes both ways.

:worship: , you made some top notch petcock covers

They looked really OEM.

I still have a lot to learn, But I think my skills have gotten better, If I were to do some of it again I think the results would be better too, Im learning how to manipulate the fibres and how to work with the resin better, as per any hand craft with extra experience

that hertz generator sounds like a good idea, but I would not know where to begin.
is this sort of what I would be after? http://www.overunity.com/6857/diy-simpl ... generator/
I guess I could simplify this a lot by making it only 1 wave and piggy back it with something like this

Yes, you could build a signal generator like that. Put a counter on it is a good idea. I agree, square wave only. Post some pics if you build this!
Edit: To make the circuit adjustable, replace the resistor across pins 6/7 of the 555 timer. Also, check that the timing cap and resistances result in the frequency range you want.

I've will post really simple/low cost calibration sources in the tach thread.

Yes I bought this beast. I will start a new thread detailing my adventures. I am looking to totally rebuild this bike and ride it 2200km around the south island at the end of august.

Basic plan is 125cc AF18e Stroker, Dio Alloys and metallic silver body.
