Post by 87hondaelite50 »

So was looking around for my first project scooter to fix up and have to get to work so i found this 87 honda elite 50 on craigslist for $150 and talked the guy down to $100 so i went and picked it up and the guy i got it from did small engine repair and said a guy brought it to him to get it running again and the guy called him back and said he could keep it and sell it to get the money back that he owed him so i went a got it this is what it looked like Before We Got It Home lol dude said " Its Just Ugly " he was right! but it runs and is drivable. also "said" he cleaned the carb lol found out it had no keys and had been hot wired to get it to start also

Looks good but you should have saved your money for a bbk instead of the cdi and coil. Also running no airbox will lean you out and decrease performance

that filter will let it too much air and the scooter will run lean.

you must up jet the carb if you want to run that filter.

The plastic head stock pieces you got look like the correct ones.
