86 Spree Industrial / Skelly Build...

Post by MrChimpo »

I have an 86 Spree that I have stripped the Upper & Lower Guage / headlight plastics off of, Stripped the fender, and cut the Rear fairings. They're on my deck today and I am in the process of [60grit to 220grit wet to TSP/dawn soap bath] prepping for flat black rustoleum primer coat. I am planning on using DAP plastic filler for the holes in the paneling (since i deleted the blinkers FR/RR).

I need to know if anyone has had success swapping out the stock speedo for a universal / other Honda speedo? I want the old school stripped rat rod clean vintage look up top (Ive already deleted most of the excess wiring harness). I really want the build to turn out looking clean skelly.

Ill post some pictures of my progress on the bike this evening after I get some more of this plastic cleaned up.

I would look at the trail tech vapor. If it will work on a Spree that I don't know.
