If I would have kept the stock spree forks wheelies could happen easier. But I'm not into stunts... :coolcruise:

On my search for some ch80 parts I found a local guy who had tons of Elite 80 parts. He had a room built on the side of his garage with shelves of ch80 parts, about 7 engine from what I could see. So I bought a spare ch80 engine, rims, throttle cable, rear brake cable, hand controls. He had a test stand made from half an elite frame with a gas tank, wiring and controls so he was able to fire up the ch80 for me.

Wiring almost finished, all the lights work. I need to get some plastics installed so I can go for a longer test run.

I put some plastics on and have been on a few test rides. I'm getting up to 45mph on flats and even more on a downhill. Acceleration is nice and hills are no problem, seems pretty healthy but I should do some maintenance/tune up and clean the carb.

I still need to fit a front fender and the side plastics will have to wait until I change the air filter and exhaust. Planning on ordering those now...

Looking good. Tune the variator, and install a uni style oem filter and I bet you'll see 50 easy.
Btw, where did u go to purchase the threaded pipe/eye hooks for your frame support? Hardware store?

I'm planning on some variator rollers and a new drive belt on my next order of parts.

I got the joint ends for the frame support bar from a hardware store. I'm not sure what the proper name for them is, heim joint, fisheye joint, link joint, rod end, bearing end joint.

Yes, I drilled the pipe on a lathe.

I just got the exhaust pipe I'm going to use, hope it will be good for the ch80. I should have time this weekend to install.

Great, thanks. Definitely keep us updated on the muffler. I tried to find a suitable replacement over the stock muffler, but I gave up my search, and there's no way I'll spend what battlescooter wants for their's. Where did you pick up that muffler and how much?

It's just a ebay pipe for $60 shipped. It has a 1in inlet connector, which is the smallest I could find.

Getting started on the pipe install. I cut off the good stock pipe, which is a ch80 sin.
