Thanks for comments guys, it's been a lot of work but it's also fun to be creative.

Yeah I've road it, just taking it east while breaking it in. Exhausts for the ch80 always have issues, I'm about to do a new muffler.

I purchased a new muffler, it's a powercore 4 made for a honda xr80-100 dirbike. I found it used for $80 shipped, they're about $150 brand new.

I hope it works out good, it will be better than my briggs muffler.

Figuring out how I'm going to mount the fmf on the header. Planning on removing the sticker and polishing it up.

Got the fmf on the ch80, sounds pretty good. I used all the mounting points possible because exhausts like to break on the ch80.

Thanks guys, I had the briggs and stratton muffler before and it was too loud. It popped a lot on deceleration, might as well been an open straight pipe. The fmf is a bit more restricted in comparison, but should be respectful enough for the streets. I did test ride it and the top speed performance is about the same, still need to try larger main jets. The low end performance did reduce a little compared to the wide open briggs, but I guess that was kinda expected. If I was comparing it over a stock ch80 muffler the gains would be huge with a fmf.

Greetings:

Four-strokers popping on deceleration means you're a tad lean on the jetting. I recommend you fix that soon.

I didn't run my rebuilt ch80 much with the briggs sausage muffler, they're too unrestricted. After installing the fmf there's no more popping.

I attempted to lighten a spare flywheel, heard it's a good mod and I can do it myself. But I went too deep and hit magnet, at least now I know how much to take off on my next one...
