Here's the spigot carb mounted on the ch80, unfortunately this cheap carb isn't working out. The electronic choke has been giving me issues and I can't find replacement jets. I all ready have another carb ordered with a manual choke, hope it works out.

I've been trying out this carb on the ch80, it took a lot of trial and error getting the jetting right. I already road a few hundred miles with it, put a zip tie on the manual chock that leads up to under the seat. If I try to hit WOT off a dead stop it will cut out, so you have to roll into throttle. I guess that's just the nature of a round slide carb on a engine designed for a economical CV carb. My top speed has improved, I still might experiment with a larger main jet.

I'm finally getting around to a spree seat project I've been planning. This old seat has a bit of tearing so I bought a new cover on ebay.

Before I put the new cover on I'm going to cut out some old foam and put it memory foam. Should be more comfortable when I'm done.

Planning where I'm going to cut and how deep by checking the thickness of the foam. It's about 1 1/2 inch thick so I'll try to cut out about 1 inch, I marked the knife as a guide.

Once the outline is cut I made diagonal cross cuts and pulled each cube out trying to maintain the 1 inch depth cut.

Thanks, I made a flange mount intake into a spigot mount. It's still only 18mm and the carb is a 18mm round slide, which is a huge upgrade from the stock 18mm cv carb. Someday I'll try to fit up a 20mm round slide...

Cut out the memory foam, since it compresses so much under weight I'm going to stack 2 layers of 1inch memory foam to replace what I cut out. Got the memory foam glued in, I'll have to shave it down a bt.

Started shaving the edges and the top with the electric knife.

The final step is smoothing it out with a small grinding disc, I rounded off any edges that the electric knife couldn't do.
