First, i would just like to say thanks to everyone for their help and advice. And to those smart-* forum know it alls- go suck a nut. Surprisingly, most people here have been very helpful and friendly and i appreciate that. I first bought this 1994 elite SR for around $100 and it came from Corpus Christie,TX and did not run. it had rust in the tank and sand in every part of the engine from carb to exhaust from being a beach cruiser. Originally, i was just looking for a cheap scooter. That was when i found this one. i found this forum and saw what you guys where doing with your little scoots. And said this guys scoot goes 100mph *!!? I made my $100 scooter into my money pit trying to make it into a wheelie machine... But my goal now is to have the most ratty, snotty, ugly, fastest scoot in my city. :coolcruise: nothing is better than sitting next to someone at a red light while they horse laugh at you. Then blast off and completely smoke them. :peace: This Elite to me is the ultimate sleeper. I have also started work on an elite E. im going to gy6 swap it (somehow). If anyone has done this please let me know how you did it so i can get some ideas if you wouldn't mind. Again, thanks to everyone for all the help!!

What kind of mods do you have in your SR? I see you have ct intake and UNI filter with a PG long so I'm assuming some sort of bbk. I like the elite e. If you do manage to swap it, it'll be supahhhhhh stretched like those ruckus with the gy6 fatty mods.

Well i was going to go Taiwan 90 cc an port everything but someone recommended the polini corsa or mhr mallossi. I went with the corsa bought a stage 6 throttle cable and put an extra 30mm carb i had from a honda cr85 dirtbike. The carb is great just makes it hard to tune because the adjustments are on the other side of the carb. I also found a bigger clutch assembly and bored out the back of the clutch housing to accommodate it just looking for a slightly bigger belt before i can put it on.never thought this thing would do 60mph its just insane and it will go even faster im just trying to stay away from it because it needs to be broken in first but d*** its hard to resist lol. As for the gy6 im trying to find some kinda of mount i can weld to the elite e. the less welding i have to do the better :-)

I think your 30mm carb might be a little too big. I always read that people recommend a 28 or even a 24. As for breaking it in make sure to do some of heat cycles and get a CHT gauge. With a corsa and PG long, performance variator, perhaps new tires, and properly tuned it seems like you can be going around 70.

I have a 21mm on my red sr elite with a malossi cast bore and I'm putting a 24mm on my next build (94 elite S), which is going to be a polini corsa. All just depends on how you jet it.

Mr 51 it all depends on personal needs and what the rider wants the bike to do as to what carbs and gears they pick .Some may want a red light to red light racer some may want a highway cruiser

Man that carb is huge. Should have got a smaller carb. I like the results i got with the 24mm. Keep up the good work :2thumbs:

I agree, the cr85r carb is a little too big it seems to be running too rich at WOT. But for a man on a budget like myself it seems alright for now. Still zipping through all the cars and seems to be reliable. I really want more power off the line so im going to search for a longer belt and tighter center spring next since the clutch pully i installed is bigger than stock.
