the boxed 94 elite

Post by charleswymer »

So I bought this 1994 elite last summer. It was totally torn apart and in boxes. It was missing a few pieces like a variator, piston, cylinder, exhaust, and the forks. Being in college at the time, i really didnt have the time or money to go out and get all these parts so i put it aside till i got done with school. i graduated this spring and now have the time to work on it. so i have been buying the parts that i am missing and putting it back together until i have to stop because i realize i am missing a part that i need. i finally think i have everything i need except for an exhaust gasket which i ordered today. i tried making one with some gasket material but it didnt last very long. it would only last long enough for me to get a couple minute ride. here is some pics of everything i have done.

I threw the seat on it so i could take it for a spin. i have all the plastics for it except for one of the lower side skirts. i am just waiting to get it running good before i put them on that way i dont have to take them off all the time. i should get the exhaust gasket by monday so i can finish breaking it in.

i am wanting to go for a black and green kinda look. so i painted the rack, and the front shock cover green. i am thinking about doing the logos in green along with painting the rims black with a green pinstripe around them.
