Starting a fresh new 01 elite s build tips welcome

Just picked up a 01 elite s

Bone stock

This will be my first dio build I have always been jog type but since my move to the mainland from Hawaii the honda bikes are easier to find here and jogs are pretty difficult it seems but I will most likely pick one up also if I find one close

I'm not planning on going to crazy just going to go with a bolt on bore for now

My first question is .. Mallosi or polini?? I've always used polini on jogs but just looking for opinions for dio

both are good . polini corsa and contesta bore bolt on. can use stock goshi pipe on any polini bores. (corsa or contesta), can used mikuni 18mm vm carb on stock airbox. use 8:1 gear and keli pulley/ramp.

malossi bore need to port on the boost to match malossi base gasket.


my japan jog i ran contesta bore with stock carb 14mm, airbox, stock pipe.. , daytona pulley/ramp,, all stock trans.. no problem..
